Learning should feel like something. I made the choice to work in learning design because I could not stop noticing that training was boring and uneventful, and I wanted to change that.

I build the other kind.

Scenario based. Visually intentional. Grounded in real learning theory and creative technology. My courses treat the learner like an intelligent adult and the material like it actually matters. If the learner checks out, nothing else you built matters.

Right now I am most energized by what AI makes possible in learning design. Not AI as a gimmick but AI as a force multiplier for craft. I’ve evaluated tools like Claude, ChatGPT, HeyGen, and Synthesia at the enterprise level, and increasingly, I build learning experiences that live at the intersection of instructional design and creative technology, because that is where this field is heading and I want to be building it, not just watching it happen.
